17 METEO Weather & flight-readiness for UAV operators
Privacy Policy

17 METEO (“17 METEO”, “we”, “us”) provides a weather and flight-readiness application for
operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs / drones). This policy explains what the app
processes, how, and your choices. The app is built to use the minimum data necessary, and
we do not sell your personal data and do not use third-party advertising or tracking.
Information the app processes
Location. With your permission, the app uses your device’s precise or approximate
location to retrieve weather and compute flight-readiness (GREEN / YELLOW / RED) for your area.
Your coordinates are sent to our weather and map data providers solely to return the forecast and
map tiles for that location. You can revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings; without it
you can still enter a location manually.
Device-integrity data. To protect the service from abuse and to control access, the
app generates a random device identifier and uses Apple’s App Attest to confirm the app is a
genuine, unmodified instance. This is not linked to your identity and is not an advertising identifier.
Access / activation contact. If you request access to the app, we process the contact
details you provide (for example, an email address) solely to review and grant activation and to
contact you about it.
Camera. If you use the augmented-reality compass / horizon view, the app uses the
camera to show a live background. Camera images are processed on your device only and are never
stored or transmitted.
Bluetooth. If you connect an external wind meter (anemometer), the app uses Bluetooth
to read wind measurements from that device for your readings.
Motion & compass. The app uses the magnetometer / compass for accurate azimuth in
the AR view. This is processed on your device.
Photos & files. If you choose to attach, import, or export a file, the app accesses
only the item you select. It does not scan your photo library.
Data stored on your device. Preferences, secured tokens, and cached map tiles and
weather data are stored locally to make the app faster and available offline. You can remove this by
clearing the cache or deleting the app.

When we share data
We share data only as needed to run the app:
Weather and map data providers receive location coordinates to return forecasts and
map tiles for that area.
Apple provides App Attest and standard platform services.
Our activation backend receives the device identifier, the attestation, and any
contact you provide, in order to control access.
We do not sell personal data, we do not use third-party advertising,
and we do not embed third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
Data retention
Location is used to answer your request and is not kept as a profile. Cached data lives on your device
until you clear it. Activation / access records are kept for as long as needed to manage access and to
meet legal obligations.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Sensitive values are kept in the device’s secure storage, and
the app’s integrity is verified with Apple App Attest.
Children
17 METEO is a professional tool and is not directed to children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, the EU / EEA under the GDPR, or California under the CCPA),
you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data, or to object to certain processing.
